SFMS is pleased to present a live-streamed concert by local string wizard Kevin Neidig. This is the first in a series of virtual events to benefit local musicians.
The concert will be live-streamed on Sunday, April 5 at 7 pm on YouTube. "Admission" to this virtual show is by donation: just like buying a concert ticket except that you decide what to pay, and 100% of it goes to the artist!
ALSO for instrumentalists, Kevin is also offering two virtual workshops: a guitar workshop to be live-streamed on April 1, and a clawhammer banjo workshop on April 2 (both at 7pm). Watch the workshops on YouTube or on this page.
Kevin Neidig
Rarely do you get in one musician the virtuosity of singer, instrumentalist and songwriter. Kevin brings all three. On guitar or a host of other stringed instruments, his arrangements are intricate and bold; his playing is agile and effortless. His singing is powerful, emotive, and ranges across many genres. He's also an impressive songwriter, with unique perspectives (both lyrically and musically) and ingenious arrangements.
Kevin is based in Mechanicsburg, PA, where he teaches guitar and mandolin at his own studio. In addition to being extremely active on our local music scene, including with SFMS, he performs from Arkansas to New York. Kevin is on the roster for our 2020 Susquehanna Folk Festival, as he has been each year since its inception.
