FESTIVAL - Bringing It Home Series
Peek into the kaleidoscope of folk arts found in Central Pennsylvania! In several FREE events over the course of the festival weekend, our Susquehanna Folk Arts Center will showcase a variety of local traditional artists. Learn what these folks practice, what they’ve experienced, and how they keep their culture fresh and vibrant. Watch for our full schedule.
FESTIVAL - Archive Challenge
Artists delve into the Library of Congress's extensive collection of American folk music, and pick a song to make their own. Our most creative entry so far was a coal miner’s song performed on a simple guitar made from a mining pick-axe. We can’t wait to see what this year’s Archive Challenge will bring!
