Rather than play the folk music of the past, the band gleefully combines genres and ideas together to move acoustic music forward to a new place without ever losing sight of its roots. Fans of Lake Street Dive, Nickel Creek, and Punch Brothers will find much to like in this crew. Buffalo Rose has opened for the Wood Brothers, Mipso, Pokey LaFarge, Tyler Childers, Infamous Stringdusters, and shared a festival stage with the legendary Sam Bush.

Lucy Clabby (vocals), Margot Jezerc (vocals), Bryce Rabideau (mandolin), Malcolm Inglis (dobro), Jason Rafalak (upright bass), and Shane McLaughlin (guitar, vocals) blend their diverse and atypical approaches to songwriting with the desire to see how unique a song can get and still feel like home. They use powerful vocal harmonies, strong playing, and an original vision to operate at every possible emotional level, from up and moving to sad and sweet and back again, bringing the entire audience along.

Their 2018 debut album, The Soil and the Seed, established them as a vocal, instrumental, and creative force. Again, Again, Again, their brand-new full-length album, brings a shimmering and sophisticated sound to their well crafted songs. It follows their 2022 EP Rabbit, a project created in collaboration with Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Tom Paxton, and two earlier EPs: 2019’s Big Stampede and 2020’s Borrowed and Blue.

with special guests GRACE MAHAR

Grace Mahar

Grace is a unique artist whose vulnerable but fierce approach to singing and guitar draws on sources such as the Carter family, Leon Redbone, and other American roots music. Grace will captivate with her quiet fury, and her sly, sweet, sad songs will sweep you into a far-away soulful dreamscape.

and MIKE DEMPSEY

Mike Dempsey

Mike is a multi-instrumentalist and acoustic guitar aficionado with distinctive and vast influences like Django Reinhardt and Robert Johnson. He plays high-energy piano with the Harrisburg based jazz/funk/soul band Yam Yam, and with his large personality, he is sure to entertain.
