Ticket revenues and membership dues cover only about half of our operating costs. Contributions and grants are crucial to our ability to present folk programming that is both high-quality and affordable.

Our Silent Auction is a popular tradition at our end-of-season gala, with creative contributions ranging from theater tickets to sailing lessons, to musical instruments and other lovely items that need a forever home. Donate an item or pledge your time or talents.
We hope you'll come to the gala, enjoy yourself, and shop the auction. Watch for details!
From time to time, SFMS participates in other fundraising events, such as the Capital 10 Miler: A Run for the Arts! held each spring.
The Susquehanna Folk Music Society is a charitable entity, organized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and it is eligible to receive tax deductible contributions. We encourage all persons who are interested in charitable tax deductions to consult with their tax advisors regarding specific items donated to SFMS or purchased at our Silent Auction. We will provide contributors with receipts for tax purposes.
