Wade Yankey and Nina Scarcia

SFMS is pleased to present a live-streamed 7pm concert by local duo Wade Yankey and Nina Scarcia, playing blues-driven acoustic music on mandolin, guitar and vocals.

Before the concert, join Wade for a 6pm mandolin Q & A workshop. Wade's been performing on mandolin for over 15 years in a variety of genres, and will offer some pro tips on styling.

As a duo, Wade and Nina perform regularly at such local venues as Rubicons, Molly Pitcher Brewing Company and The Speakeasy. Wade is a member of the award-winning bluegrass band Colebrook Road.

Saturday, April 18

The workshop and concert will be live-streamed starting at 6 pm, on Facebook.

"Admission" to this virtual show is by donation: just like buying a concert ticket except that you decide what to pay.

Wade and Nina are passing along all donations to the COVID-19 Community Response Fund, to help vulnerable members of our community.

Wade Yankey

Wade is the mandolinist in the award-winning bluegrass band Colebrook Road. He has been performing as a mandolinist for over 15 years in a variety of styles, including bluegrass, folk and gypsy jazz. He can occasionally be found playing an octave mandolin or guitar onstage as well. Wade teaches mandolin at The Perfect 5th Musical Arts Center in Mechanicsburg.

Nina Scarcia

Harrisburg, PA native Nina Scarcia started her musical career at a young age, influenced by her musician father. She has been described as an evocative singer-songwriter and guitarist, with musical styles similar to some of her much-loved artists like Norah Jones and Bonnie Raitt. Listeners are captivated by her lyrics and voice that are emotionally charged and powerfully delivered.
