A woman desperate to save her community from a gas pipeline in “Plains of Ohio,” a devout grandmother traveling across the world to Yugoslavia in search of the Virgin Mary in “Our Lady,” and a trouble-making Bible College misfit in “Loud and Clear” are just a few of the archetypes listeners meet.

Zachariah King has created his own brand of singer/songwriter style country music. He has been steeped in the heritage of Perry County country music from the very beginning. In his honky-tonk education, he graduated from performing at church services to singing at the local watering hole. There he found a whole new type of Wednesday night service with the joyous clankin’ of beer bottles and the harmonious singing of bar-room anthems.

Zach draws from a wide range of places for the inspiration to his songs; anything from past experiences, human emotion and local lore. Recently, Zach has been archiving local music with a focus on preserving and performing it for others to enjoy.
