Tuba Skinny doesn’t just play music; they transport listeners to the heart of New Orleans — a city pulsing with life, with an unparalleled influence on American music and a profound love for its musical roots.
Grounded in the rhythms of traditional New Orleans jazz, Tuba Skinny has expanded their repertoire to include jug band tunes, spirituals, country blues, string band melodies, ragtime, and New Orleans R&B. The band’s music embodies the essence of Americana, weaving together early 20th-century influences while paying homage to the city that serves as their muse. Every note echoes the sounds of New Orleans’ streets, from its bustling brass bands to its soulful blues singers.
