This edition of the Coffeehouse includes Ed Stockton with classic American folk, bluegrass, gospel and country; Still Limber (Randy Cato and Craig Zumbrun) with Appalachian- and Celtic-influenced folk; early and more contemporary blues from Shakey Joe Kambic & Tim Snyder; and Harvest Moon (Art Wachter & Beth Lucabaugh) with an eclectic mix of acoustic folk, blues and Americana. Kulkarni Cultural Series presents Martha Redbone Roots Project: a “tasty gumbo of roots music” from Appalachia’s coal country and her mother’s multi-racial Indigenous heritage, from pre‑gentrified Brooklyn and the Black Migration. In sound and story, folk, blues and gospel, Martha Redbone and her ensemble share her life experience as an Afro‑Indigenous woman and mother.
