Festival tickets are now on sale through the Appell Center’s website. Their ticket FAQs page answers many frequently-asked questions, and Box Office staff are available to assist with your ticket purchase. Tickets will also be sold at the festival, at the same prices.

Concerts are reserved seating this year, so buy early to get your preferred spot!
Event Tickets and Multi-Event Passes

Matinée concerts, evening concerts, and dances have three price tiers: General Admission, SFMS Members*, and Students**.
Multi-Event Passes are a great deal, especially the limited-availability All Festival Concert Pass. Get ’em before they’re gone!
“Best available seating” is the only choice for multi-event passes purchased online, but you WILL have the opportunity to select a general area of the theatre. The Box Office can assist if you have specific seat preferences or requirements.
Discounts
* SFMS Members and HACDA Members will be sent promo codes that will unlock the SFMS Member discount when buying tickets — by email if we have an address; by mail or phone otherwise. Please reach out to SFMS if you cannot find your codes.
** Students are ages 3-22. Children under age 3 are free but must have a ticket for head-count purposes. Please reach out to the Box Office and they will add your little one to your reservation at no charge.
Our three ticket tiers are explained above. Membership will be verified at the door. Holders of Member tickets who are not Members will be asked to pay the difference. As with all our events, tickets are non-refundable unless we must cancel the event.
MEMBERS: How to use Promo Codes
ENTER PROMO CODE FIRST: On the Appell Center’s ticket page, the Promo Code box is in the top right corner of the page. You must enter your promo code there and hit Submit. Then you can choose seats and tickets.
Member discount will be reflected at checkout.
One (or two) discounts per event (or pass): The Individual Members code is limited to one adult ticket discount per event/pass. The Pass code and the Family Members code are limited to two adult ticket discounts per event/pass. Family Member households with more than two adults may contact the Box Office for assistance.
Separate transactions for Passes and Tickets: The code for discounted Passes and the code for discounted Single-Event tickets must be used in separate transactions because of limitations with the ticketing software.
Fortunately, a single transaction can include multiple tickets at different price-points, and the codes do not expire after a single transaction.
To be clear: “two separate transactions” means entering one code, selecting one or more tickets and checking out; then entering the other code to select and check out for the other ticket(s).
Note that SFMS does verify membership status after ticket purchase and/or at the door.
So what if...?
Below are some example situations. The Appell Center’s Box Office is happy to assist with specific situations not listed here.
Individual Membership Situations:
- Individual Member buying a Saturday Concert Pass + Sunday Swing Dance — this would be two transactions: one for the Pass and one for the individual event.
- Individual Member with a non-member spouse and college-age daughter, buying à la carte tickets for the concerts Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday afternoon — this would be one transaction because they are all individual-event tickets, even though they are all different.
Family Membership Situations:
- Family Member buying two Saturday Concert Passes + two Sunday Swing Dance tickets — this would be two transactions: one for the Passes and one for the individual Event.
- Family Member buying an All-Concert Pass for one adult in the family + an All-Dance Pass for the other adult — this would be one transaction because they are both Passes.
- That same family also buying concert tickets for the swing-dancing adult would purchase those in a separate transaction using the Single-Event code.
- That same family also getting individual event tickets for their children and non-member adult friends could add them to the transaction with the Single-Event code, choosing Standard and Student price tickets.
Buy Now / Buy Later Situations
- Member who bought advance tickets for Saturday & Sunday nights later decides to attend Friday night as well. The Member code will still unlock the discount since it does not expire.
- Family Member bought two Saturday Concert Passes and one Sunday Concert pass. The code will work for one more Sunday pass, should they want another, but the family limit of two has been reached for Saturday.
- Family Member bought a single ticket to the Saturday night concert. A surprise visitor comes from out of town (and the member’s spouse) wants to come too, but when they try to buy online, the adjacent seats are taken! The Box Office will find three seats together for the group, and will handle the purchase of a Member ticket for the spouse and a standard ticket for the guest.

The Appell Center’s Box Office is available 10 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday by phone (717-846-1111) and in-person at 50 N. George St, York, PA. The Box Office will open two hours prior to festival events.
